Responsibilities

1. Consolidation, Review and Reporting, including Board & Audit committee packs and statutory reporting (AFS, audit & tax pack)
2. Prepare, collate and present the monthly numbers to MD
3. Capture, prepare and collate budget / forecast for review by MD
4. Complete and review bi-annual statutory audit packs
5. Complete and review bi-annual tax packs
6. Complete all annual financial statements and related supporting documentation
7. Liaise with and attend to Head Office reporting requirements
8. Quarterly Board packs
9. Internal Audit and Controls
10. Liaise with and assist internal auditors
11. Coordination of the internal audit process
12. Follow up on internal audit findings
13. Ensure effective internal control environment
14. Ensure implementation of standardised policies and SOP's
15. Compliance and Regulatory Reporting
16. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and corporate policies
17. Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports as required
18. Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and ensure the company's compliance
19. External Audit
20. Liaise with and assist external auditors
21. Coordination and running of year-end audit
22. Strategic Planning
23. Provide financial input to support long-term business goals and growth initiatives
24. Ad-Hoc payment releases (as and when required)
25. Processing and assisting with various requests from MD and Head Office

Qualification / Skills / Knowledge Required

1. Qualified CA (SA)
2. Completed articles
3. Exposure to Manufacturing / Engineering / Mining / FMCG beneficial
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make sound recommendations
5. Strong interpersonal skills (with internal as well as external stakeholders)
