Responsibilities
- Consolidation, Review and Reporting, including Board & Audit committee packs and statutory reporting (AFS, audit & tax pack)
- Prepare, collate and present the monthly numbers to MD
- Capture, prepare and collate budget / forecast for review by MD
- Complete and review bi-annual statutory audit packs
- Complete and review bi-annual tax packs
- Complete all annual financial statements and related supporting documentation
- Liaise with and attend to Head Office reporting requirements
- Quarterly Board packs
- Internal Audit and Controls
- Liaise with and assist internal auditors
- Coordination of the internal audit process
- Follow up on internal audit findings
- Ensure effective internal control environment
- Ensure implementation of standardised policies and SOP's
- Compliance and Regulatory Reporting
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and corporate policies
- Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports as required
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and ensure the company's compliance
- External Audit
- Liaise with and assist external auditors
- Coordination and running of year-end audit
- Strategic Planning
- Provide financial input to support long-term business goals and growth initiatives
- Ad-Hoc payment releases (as and when required)
- Processing and assisting with various requests from MD and Head Office
Qualification / Skills / Knowledge Required
- Qualified CA (SA)
- Completed articles
- Exposure to Manufacturing / Engineering / Mining / FMCG beneficial
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make sound recommendations
- Strong interpersonal skills (with internal as well as external stakeholders)
