REGIONAL SALES MANAGER : INLAND

Location: Woodmead, Gauteng

Are you a results-driven sales leader with a passion for building strategic customer relationships and leading high-performing teams?

Our client, one of the world's largest wood-based solutions providers, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive sales growth and expand market presence. In this role, you will be responsible for achieving regional sales targets, growing market share, and strengthening key customer partnerships.

You will lead and develop a team of Key Account Managers while identifying and executing growth opportunities aligned with our business strategy. If you're ready to lead with purpose and deliver impact, we'd love to hear from you.

Minimum Requirements:
  • A Grade 12 (Matric) certificate and a relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent NQF qualification.
  • At least 3 years of direct sales and marketing experience, with a strong track record in market development and solution-based selling.
  • At least 3 years of proven managerial experience, managing Key Account Managers or similar roles.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • A valid driver's license, the ability to commute, and willingness to travel frequently as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience within the board market or allied industries such as timber, wood-based products, construction materials, or manufacturing/furniture sectors.
  • Experience with CRM or ERP systems such as SAP is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Regional Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement sales plans aligned with budgets and customer needs. Manage sales pipelines to meet targets.
  2. Customer Relationship Management: Maintain strategic relationships, understand customer needs, and support after-hours as needed.
  3. Business Development and Growth: Identify new opportunities, introduce new products, and differentiate offerings.
  4. Pricing and Commercial Management: Manage pricing, discount structures, and forecasting.
  5. Team Leadership: Manage and develop Key Account Managers, review reports, and gather market intelligence.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with production, supply chain, logistics, finance, and planning teams.
  7. Sales Reporting and Administration: Prepare reports, forecasts, and maintain accurate records.
