Job description

Job Description

The purpose of the role is to provide OUT with the tools and insights needed to enable execution on strategy.

This analyst will work alongside a Support team to service various departments such as Legal, Claims, and Investigations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Build and maintain management reports and dashboards (SQL, Visual Studio, Power BI)
  2. Build and maintain cube models (Power BI, Excel PowerPivot, Analysis Services)
  3. Assist with one-off data analyses and queries related to Investigations and Legal
  4. Build and maintain internal data-driven automations (SQL, internally developed apps)
  5. Document and formalise key data processes and models to ensure a robust data analytics framework
  6. Build, maintain, and improve models to support business objectives, including:
  • Work allocation models
  • Supporting team performance management models
  • Staff projections
  • Audit models
  • Assist stakeholders in making data-driven decisions
  • Qualifications
    • Hold a Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
    • Beneficial experience includes:
      • Working in actuarial or analytics fields
      • MS Office, including advanced MS Excel
      • Microsoft SQL Server
      • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
    Skills and Competencies
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and SQL coding skills
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Willingness to collaborate with operations, other analysts, and IT
    • Interest in critical thinking and challenging the status quo
    • Open-mindedness and willingness to learn
