Job Summary

As a waiter, you must be able to perform all duties of a Busser and a Food Runner.

A Waiter must be able to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with guests and team members.
  • Multitask and prioritize your work efficiently.
  • Explain the Nobu concept effectively.
  • Understand the timing of dishes and manage your tables accordingly.
  • Read tables and understand guests' needs and dislikes.
  • Take orders correctly and communicate them to the relevant sections.
  • Follow up on your orders.
  • Carry trays and plates confidently and comfortably.
  • Have full knowledge of the food menu, bar, and sake bar products.
  • Manage stations that need clearance.
  • Assist other waiters as needed.
  • Handle guest requests such as clearing glasses and plates, and assisting guests.
  • Pick up drinks from the bar and sake bar, and dishes from the kitchen or sushi bar.
  • Report to your supervisor if you notice a guest under 18 ordering or drinking alcohol.
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in shifts.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Strong beverage knowledge.
  • Able to communicate effectively and multitask.
