We are seeking a Technical Sales Support – Crushers individual to join our Technical Sales Support Team.

Product Support for crushers is part of the Sales Support SVS – Africa team, supporting the Sales Areas for the Africa Market Area (AMA), providing technical solutions to support sales.

Crushing is one of the products under the SVS portfolio, which requires technical competence and a sales-oriented drive to assist in pushing sales.

This role is pivotal in aligning Global Product Line specialists with the Market Area (MA) sales teams.

The Product Support role works with the Sales Area to deliver a jointly owned "Sales Plan," focusing on targeted customers, to provide technical solutions that meet customer needs and support the sales team in closing orders.

You will report to the Head of CSP Technical Sales Support: Services – Africa.

This position is mainly located in Centurion, Gauteng.

Team you will belong to: You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as Management, Engineers, Suppliers & Sub-Contractors, Clients, and Site Staff.

What you will do:

  1. Custodian of the Installed Base (IB) data for crushing, collaborating with the PL / MA to update the central IB database.
  2. Growing and influencing the installed base to identify revenue opportunities.
  3. Owner of the Product Plan, collaborating on sales strategy, technical solutions, and reporting.
  4. Setting the recommended selling price (MALP) and Cost plus, understanding customer needs, and translating them into technical requirements.
  5. Supporting sales with technical information, part numbers, and opportunity scoping.
  6. Assisting with developing, influencing, and negotiations.
  7. Analyzing PL / MA performance, reporting on Plan vs. Actual and Forecast.
  8. Interrogating opportunities in Salesforce.
  9. Supporting internal and external training requirements.

Who are you?

Matric (Grade 12) with a Technical/Trade qualification and 10+ years in crushing, or a National Diploma N6 with mechanical trade and 10+ years of field experience, or a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with similar experience. Must have mineral processing applications experience and technical product knowledge. Familiar with Metso equipment, sales, and financials, and capable of managing complex relationships.

  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ability to manage multiple projects, and willingness to travel.

Physical requirements: Ability to sit, stand, climb, lift up to 30 pounds, and perform site visits. Valid driver's license required.
