Role : Senior Business Analyst

Location : Office based in Cape Town or remote

Type : Full-time

Working hours : 9AM - 6PM UK time (11AM - 8PM SA time in Winter, 10AM - 7PM SA time in Summer)

Salary : Base: ,- 1,, RAND annual compensation based on experience, location and performance

As a key member of our Revenue and Growth Operations team, you will drive efficiency and effectiveness across Zen's go-to-market functions, focusing on data harnessing, process optimization, and collaboration to accelerate growth and support our mission.

Key responsibilities include :
  1. Reporting & Insights : Design, build, and maintain insightful reports and dashboards to provide clarity and actionable insights for various teams, including school success and candidate success.
  2. Process Optimization : Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement within sales and account management, implementing data-driven changes for efficiency and scalability.
  3. Process management & cross-functional collaboration : Act as a liaison between teams, facilitating data-driven meetings and driving better outcomes.
  4. Data analysis & collaboration with business : Query data using SQL, analyze datasets, and work with stakeholders to interpret data and inform strategic decisions.
  5. Technology & integration : Research and evaluate new tools and integrations to improve operational capabilities and data flow.
Who you are :

We seek an analytical, proactive team member eager to impact a mission-driven organization. You should possess:

  • Strong analytical skills : Curious about data, comfortable with complex datasets, and able to extract meaningful insights.
  • Proficiency in BigQuery / SQL : For data querying, extraction, and manipulation.
  • Reporting expertise : Experience creating clear, impactful reports and dashboards.
  • Stakeholder engagement : Comfortable engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communication skills : Excellent at building relationships, leading discussions, and ensuring clarity.
  • Process improvement mindset : Experience in identifying inefficiencies and implementing data-driven changes.
  • Ownership mindset : Initiative to identify and deliver on improvement opportunities.

Qualifications : 5+ years in business analytics and reporting; undergraduate or master's in relevant fields; relevant BI certifications.
