Job Description

Solventum Johannesburg is growing! We are seeking a skilled and proactive Corporate Governance Administrative Assistant to support our governance framework, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards.

This role involves assisting with board and committee operations, maintaining statutory records, and facilitating effective stakeholder communication to promote sound governance practices.

Here's how you'll make an impact:
  1. Board and Committee Support: Organize and schedule meetings, prepare agendas, distribute materials, take minutes, and follow up on action items. Provide administrative support for board members, including managing travel and documentation.
  2. Compliance and Regulation: Maintain statutory registers, ensure timely filings, and assist with compliance to governance codes and practices.
  3. Policy and Procedure Development: Support the creation and review of governance policies, monitor legislative changes, and advise on updates.
  4. Stakeholder Communication: Act as liaison among the board, management, and stakeholders, coordinating governance-related communication.
  5. Risk and Audit Assistance: Collaborate with audit and risk teams, manage governance reporting, and address issues promptly.
  6. Training and Development: Organize governance training sessions, stay updated on trends, and provide guidance.
  7. Employee Engagement Activities: Plan and coordinate events, manage logistics, and prepare activity reports. Collaborate with HR to align engagement with organizational goals.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's or professional degree.
  • 5+ years experience in corporate governance or company secretarial roles.
  • Experience working with boards and senior executives.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills in English.
  • Discretion with confidential information, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Customer-centric, collaborative, and driven for excellence.
Work Location

Onsite at our office in Fourways, Johannesburg.
