Job description

JOB OPPORTUNITY:Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant

LOCATION:Southfield, Cape Town (Blackburn Pharmacy)

REPORTING TO:Responsible Pharmacist / Pharmacy Manager

Key Responsibilities:

·Accurately dispense medications under the supervision of the pharmacist.

·Assist with maintaining accurate inventory of medications and supplies.

·Handle sales transactions efficiently for medications and other products.

·Professionally answer incoming calls and address customer inquiries.

·Restock shelves and ensure availability and organization of products.

·Manage and respond to emails in a timely manner.

·Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and well-maintained.

·Assist with management of stock and cycle counts

·Assist with Medical aid claim queries when needed

Requirements:

·SAPC Registration as a Pharmacist Assistant

·Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a retail pharmacy environment.

·Strong accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

·Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and reliability.

·Team player with a positive attitude.

·Exceptional customer service skills.

·Must be adaptable and willing to assist in various areas as needed.

·Good Communications skills

·Ability to work and communicate with public and people at all levels

·Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Propharm’ s Rxwin dispensing program will be an advantage

Additional Requirements:

·Strong ability to work under pressure.

·Must be willing to work retail hours, including Saturdays.

·Problem-solving attitude with a hands-on approach to challenges.
