About the job: Cooling technician - Refrigeration

Location: Gauteng - relocate to Zimbabwe

Salary: Market-related

Our client is seeking a talented and ambitious engineer or technician for an exciting and challenging role designing and installing cold storage solutions for food and agricultural businesses across Africa.

Main responsibilities:

1. Support: the development of cooling solutions for clients in new industries and new markets across Africa
2. Design: the cooling specifications and select the main components for new and expanding cold storage systems
3. Build: technical and commercial proposals for cold room and other cooling systems
4. Oversee: supplier and installer quality assurance processes, including design reviews and compliance checks
5. Provide: after-sales technical assistance and troubleshooting

Key Skills Needed:

• A diploma, degree or other technical qualification, preferably in refrigeration or related industry
• 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in refrigeration or related industry (e.g., electric/mechanical)
• Experience in and preferably based in an Eastern or Southern African country
