Finance Manager
As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for advising the company on increasing profits through prudent financial practices, monitoring compliance with laws, procedures, and regulations such as tax filing and financial reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling reports, analyzing industry trends, and assessing the company's financial health.
- Oversee the operations and development of the finance department, including policy creation, budgeting, recruiting, training, and regular assessments of financial procedures.
- Supervise the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations, ensure compliance with tax and financial reporting standards, and assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Advise colleagues and management on financial decisions.
- Document the company’s financial status and forecasts.
- Mediate between the organization, employees, stakeholders, shareholders, and investors on financial issues.
- Create strategic business plans based on company analysis and financial forecasts.

Education and Qualifications
- Matric with an average of 65% or higher in Maths (non-negotiable).
- Honours Degree or Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field (e.g., B.Com Honours); preference for those qualified before or during 2012.
- Qualified CA (SA) (non-negotiable).
- Level 3 Tax Compliance experience.
- Level 4 Financial Accounting experience.
- Professional registration with SAICA (non-negotiable).
Experience
- Minimum 10 years management experience in a manufacturing or operations environment (excluding financial institutions).
- Experience managing teams of accountants.
Additional Skills
- Understanding of business operations and financial management.
- Fluency in Afrikaans and English.
- Knowledge of SA income tax, VAT, and other legislations.
- High computer literacy, including MS Office and JDE.
- Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
- Strong relationship-building skills and commitment to teamwork, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Advanced skills in macros, spreadsheets, and financial modeling.
