Your Purpose
The purpose of this role is to inspire people to live active lives and to ensure that the individual and club sales goals are achieved monthly by promoting and marketing Virgin Active as the preferred choice in the fitness industry.
Your Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan each day and month in advance to generate new leads, book appointments, and present to customers with the objective of making sales to successfully reach and exceed sales targets.
- Record activity inputs using the tools and systems provided by Virgin Active, in line with set timelines and procedures.
- Abide by Virgin Active's sales processes and systems.
- Maintain up-to-date, comprehensive knowledge of VASA products and compare them to competitors.
- Expand the customer base and strengthen loyalty through service calls, increasing sales referrals, and developing networks and relationships.
- Understand prospective members' interests and requirements, building rapport and matching their needs with our products.
- Close sales by overcoming objections with support from the Sales Manager and/or Regional Sales Coach.
- Report to the Sales Manager regarding reviews and analyze objectives and activities.
- Review and analyze sales data and statistics to plan effectively for the future, aiming to increase sales and enhance brand image.
- Participate in sales meetings, sharing best practices, ideas, and recommendations to generate leads and increase sales.
- Activate local marketing opportunities, such as attending, arranging, and preparing promotions, health days, and community events as a Virgin Active brand ambassador.
Our Minimum Requirements

- Matric qualification essential.
- Relevant tertiary qualification preferred (Sales and Marketing qualification).
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales.
- Promotion and sales skills to sell Virgin Active's products and services effectively.
- Proven sales performance track record.
- Ability to plan daily activities to maximize results.
- Strong rapport-building skills with customers and the ability to identify opportunities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Confidence, politeness, and industry awareness.
