- Matric
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Requirements
- 2-4 Years accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
Duties
General Accounting :
- Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Cost Accounting :
- Assist in tracking and analyzing manufacturing costs, including direct materials, labor, and overhead.
- Support the preparation of cost reports and cost analysis to monitor and control expenses.
- Help with inventory management, including stock valuation and cost of goods sold calculations.
Financial Reporting :
- Prepare financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual summaries of financial performance.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Provide support for budgeting and forecasting processes, including data entry and analysis.
Compliance and Internal Controls :
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and information.
Administrative Support :
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices and payments.
- Coordinate with vendors, customers, and internal departments to resolve accounting-related issues.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
Process Improvement :
- Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Assist in the integration of new financial systems or software tools.
