Job description

SUMMARY :

We are currently recruiting for a Boilermaker (Underground) for a mine based in Brits (North West).

POSITION INFO :

Desired Experience & Qualification :

• Grade 12 and/or N2 (NQF Level 3)
• Certificated Boilermaker / Plater Trade Test Section 26D or 13
• Own transport and a valid SA driver’s license
• At least 2 years underground experience
• Good general health and a valid certificate of fitness (Red Ticket)

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Maintain high safety standards and awareness
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
• Maintain good housekeeping and machinery upkeep
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections
• Perform maintenance on underground machinery
• Fabricate and install components like box fronts, grizzlies, and chutes
• Assemble, install, and repair sections with proper tools, ensuring proper fit and testing for leaks
• Design, repair, or fabricate metal work, including special construction equipment, with or without blueprints
• Cut, fit, and weld metal using gas and electric welding equipment, including brazing and soldering
• Availability to work overtime when required
