Purpose of the Job:

The Front of House Manager will oversee all operations at the Durbanville Hills Tasting Room and Olive Grove Bistro, focusing on delivering an exceptional customer and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan menus and manage food costs within agreed budgets.
2. Promote and sell destination offerings, experiences, and products.
3. Develop and execute initiatives to increase D2C revenue at the brand home.
4. Continuously innovate and improve operational results.
5. Manage daily CRM strategy execution, including database and wine club sign-ups in collaboration with the brand team.
6. Achieve the brand home's total P&L targets.
7. Assist in managing Opex and CAPEX budgets, forecasts, and targets alongside the destination manager.
8. Implement the integrated consumer engagement plan for the brand home.
9. Drive operational efficiencies and ensure effective resource utilization.
10. Minimize stock and cash losses.
11. Oversee online and in-room wine order processing and dispatch.
12. Create weekly wine order STOs to maintain stock levels for the tasting room, Olive Grove, and Tangram restaurant.
13. Manage daily banking, cash floats, and record sales and orders on SAP.
14. Handle general administration and procurement tasks.
15. Source and purchase merchandise and food offerings.
16. Manage staff rosters for service, kitchen, and housekeeping to optimize service and costs.
17. Oversee all aspects of guest experiences at the Tasting Room and Olive Grove Bistro.
18. Ensure VIP satisfaction for both consumer and corporate guests.
19. Maintain service excellence standards at all times.
20. Train staff in service, food and beverage management, and sales skills.
21. Manage staff and guest experiences to deliver a world-class environment.

Education & Experience:

• Relevant qualification in Tourism, Hospitality, or Events.
• Wine knowledge with CWA Certificate or WSET Level 2 qualification.
• Experience in tourism, hospitality, or events, preferably in a premium wine setting.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Understanding of and experience in the hospitality and events industry.
• Proven success in achieving targets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Pilot, and CRM platforms.
• Strong customer service and sales skills.
