Purpose of the Job
- Responsible for managing a depot and leading a cluster of depots within a geographical area. This role requires strong operational execution and customer service capabilities, as well as the ability to lead and manage teams.
- Lead the operational relationship with customers within the cluster, driving customer and operational excellence. Collaborate with sales leadership, customer services, and supply chain to enable growth through operational excellence.
- Ensure the optimal balance of service and cost for the cluster, especially the compliance with agreed LTT and Allocation principles.
- Align internally with Customer Service, Primary Logistics, Sales, and Finance for identified customers within the cluster.
- Drive Cost-2-Serve and identify improvement opportunities with stakeholders and customers.
- Manage and promote communication and cross-functional collaboration with Sales and Finance.
- Execute external communication with customers, ensuring trustful relationships and customer satisfaction.
- Drive insights on Customer Profitability by ensuring Cost-2-Serve (C2S) visibility for the cluster.
- Foster strong relationships with key customers, sales, and supply management.
- Promote a customer-centric culture within the team and ensure cross-functional alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety & Sustainability: Drive safety and sustainability within the cluster. Lead by example, implement reporting and follow-up, and promote safety culture.
- Ensure storage conditions meet HEINEKEN standards and minimize obsolescence.
- Manage Logistics Service Providers (LSP).
- Oversee daily depot operations, including inventory, transportation, and warehousing.
- Lead a cluster of depots, ensuring operational excellence and consistency.
- Drive operational execution to meet or exceed KPIs.
- Manage customer relationships within the geographical area, addressing needs and resolving issues promptly.
- Lead and develop depot managers and operational staff.
- Manage costs and identify savings opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and policies; manage risks.
- Collaborate with Sales Leadership and contribute to growth strategies, including leveraging TradeXpress/Secondary as customer touchpoints.
- Implement TPM methodology and drive continuous improvement teams.
- Manage returnable assets to improve circulation, reduce losses, and optimize site operations.
- Implement initiatives to improve cluster performance based on directives from the Zone Manager.
Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience
- 8+ years in logistics management, including depot management and team leadership.
- Proven operational execution and customer service skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with LMS, TMS, and WMS systems.
- Knowledge of depot operations, transportation regulations, and inventory management best practices.
