CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER / STELLENBOSCH (OFFSHORE INVESTMENTS)

Minimum Requirements :

  1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 4-5 years of progressively senior financial management experience.
  3. Extensive experience in overseeing financial operations in a diverse portfolio, including agricultural investments and international ventures.
  4. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights.
  5. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  6. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders and senior executives.
  7. High level of initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  8. Collaborative, team-oriented approach, with the ability to build strong relationships across the organization.
  9. Proficiency in MS Office.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Oversee all financial operations within the division.
  2. Review, approve, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of IAS, BAS reports, and other statutory reporting requirements, ensuring timely submission to the Australian Taxation Office.
  3. Lead the process of importing and managing budgets, revised forecasts, and long-term financial plans into Xero, ensuring alignment with business objectives and accurate financial modeling.
  4. Lead the preparation, review, and finalization of the Annual Financial Statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  5. Oversee tax computations, tax return preparations, and ensure adherence to local and international tax regulations, while managing all tax-related matters.
  6. Supervise the preparation, analysis, and review of monthly and quarterly management accounts, ensuring accurate reporting of financial performance.
  7. Prepare and present annual board meeting packs, financial reports, and related documentation, supporting strategic decision-making.
  8. Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of financial systems to support evolving business needs.
  9. Oversee the preparation and review of loan statements and schedules, maintaining focus on liquidity and cash flow management.
  10. Perform in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis and trend identification to drive business performance.
  11. Provide financial insights and advice to the executive team, stakeholders, and investors.
  12. Ensure the efficient operation of the finance team.
