Job summary

A leading company in finance and compliance solutions is seeking a remote Bookkeeper. The role involves full bookkeeping functions, managing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Ideal candidates will have a B. Com in Accounting or equivalent, along with at least 3 years of experience. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, as well as proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.

Company OverviewThe company is a fully outsourced finance, accounting, and compliance solutions provider, freeing clients from administrative tasks to allow them to focus on their core business and gain valuable insights.

The company assists with financial, accounting, and compliance work involved in servicing clients.

Position DetailsThis is a work-from-home position.

The employee will be required to attend in-person meetings or spend time at client locations when necessary.

Full bookkeeping functions up to Management Accounts level.

Capture supplier invoices.

Allocate supplier payments to invoices.

Allocate customer receipts to invoices.

Reconcile bank accounts monthly and ensure bank statements match system balances.

Manage bank payments and transfers to / from savings accounts.

Allocate income and expenses outside of customers and suppliers.

Maintain fixed asset registers.

Assist with VAT calculations and returns.

Assist with Provisional Tax calculations and returns.

Assist with Income Tax returns.

Support the Payroll Manager with payroll functions.

Manage and store statutory, HR, and other relevant documents.

Assist with company secretarial duties and regulatory compliance.

Liaise with auditors.

Communicate with and manage relationships with clients.

Ensure remote working processes are effectively managed.

Perform ad hoc tasks as required.

Experience with Xero Accounting System is a plus.

Experience with creditors and debtors management.

Experience up to Trial Balance and Management Accounts level.

Ability to work independently and focus on tasks.

Disciplined and motivated for remote work.

Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and Word.

Ability to meet deadlines.

Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
