Maintenance & Duty Manager (5-Star Lodge)

A rare dual-role opportunity for a multi-skilled hospitality professional. Are you equally confident with a spanner in hand as you are welcoming VIP guests? We’re looking for a Maintenance & Duty Manager to oversee the full upkeep of a 5-star game lodge while also supporting front-of-house operations during guest-facing shifts. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who understands that luxury lies in the details—from perfectly working generators to flawless guest check-ins.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintenance Management
  • Lead all technical and structural maintenance of lodge infrastructure (plumbing, electrical, water systems, vehicles, etc.)
  • Manage preventative maintenance schedules
  • Source and liaise with external contractors and service providers
  • Oversee lodge utilities, generators, and general facilities upkeep
  • Duty Management (FOH)
    • Assist with daily lodge hosting and guest relations
    • Conduct room checks, coordinate with housekeeping and kitchen
    • Ensure a smooth handover between departments
    • Support senior management with operational oversight
    The Ideal Candidate Has:
    • A strong maintenance/technical background (trade-tested preferred)
    • Prior experience in 5-star lodges or luxury hospitality
    • A professional, guest-oriented attitude and strong communication skills
    • Confidence in both behind-the-scenes and guest-facing responsibilities
    • Hands-on, solution-driven approach to challenges
