Job description

Our client, a professional training and certification organization, is seeking to hire a senior sales professional as Head of Markets for the Sub-Saharan African region.

The selected candidate will be based in South Africa and will travel within the region as necessary.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Lead growth activities with organizations, governments, Authorized Training Partners (ATPs), and Summits.
  2. Utilize senior stakeholder management, public sector experience, and advanced selling and consulting skills.
  3. Lead a dedicated sales team and enhance the project success of partners.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MBA or PMP preferred.
  • 7-10 years of management experience in a global business environment across multiple markets and channels.
  • Over 10 years of successful channel, B2B management, and business plan development experience, including market planning across diverse areas.
  • Extensive experience in developing partnerships, proposals, and agreements that support business objectives.
  • Excellent professional B2B/B2G sales and consulting experience.
  • Experience in consulting on Project Management is advantageous.
  • Leadership experience in sales or consulting teams.
  • Knowledge of marketing and relationship management tools, with the ability to apply them in an association environment and at senior management levels.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with a proven track record of achieving strategic results and leading staff development.
  • Experience working in agile, dynamic, customer-centric environments.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of regional languages is a plus.
