Below is a brief overview of the role, not a full job description.
- This position is responsible for providing tier 2 support to end users as well as enterprise systems and applications in a timely, accurate, and responsive manner.
- Provides 24/7 support for software and hardware.
- Installs new/rebuilds existing servers and configures hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
- Performs basic server administration including security, file and directory permissions, additions/changes/deletions of user accounts.
- Provides support for user requests and resolves various software and hardware issues relating to email, printing, rights, remote access software, etc.
- Assists the Senior IT Systems Administrator with the implementation, support, and management of current and future enterprise hardware and software technologies.
- Supports the network infrastructure, maintaining and securing server systems.
- Tests, implements, and configures new application software, software upgrades, and operating system software.
- Performs minor installs, repairs, or adjustments to City-owned PC and related equipment.
- Performs other related duties as required.
