Job description

Multinational Group with highly professional offices worldwide is seeking a Service Account Manager for the Southern African Region (South Africa, Namibia & Botswana).

The Corporate Holding Company manufactures niche products and is a trusted OEM, exporting machinery/equipment assembled at customer sites.

Due to the uniqueness of their machinery and products, there are few competitors locally and internationally.

In addition to core products, they sell accessories, upgrades, audits, repairs, maintenance, spare parts, training, and support, primarily to the Mining Sector.

Their machines are state-of-the-art, and the company has received multiple awards. They are considered an employer of choice, with experienced engineers and technicians in each office.

The culture is informal yet professional, transparent, target-driven, passionate, and hands-on.

The Service Account Manager will focus on aftermarket services, including spare parts, repairs, service, labor, products, and training.

This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager.

Africa

The Service Account Manager is a key member of the Regional Sales Team, focusing on developing accounts by selling aftermarket technical services and products to existing and new customers.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Develop close relationships with key mining personnel across SA, Namibia, and Botswana.
  2. Work with two specialized Service Technicians to gain insights into customer requirements.
  3. Travel approximately 80% of the time.
  4. Use market analysis, sales trends, and CRM tools like Salesforce and Excel to develop sales plans and analyze data.
  5. Meet sales targets set by the Regional Sales Manager.
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
  7. Contribute to the company's strategic planning, lean philosophy, and ISO quality systems.
Requirements:
  1. Electrical, Mechanical, Millwright qualification or similar, with 3-5 years in a technical role in Mining or Manufacturing.
  2. Experience in Account Management or Sales with proven KPI achievements.
  3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  4. Ability to build rapport and interpret customer needs clearly.
  5. Proactive, extroverted, goal-oriented, meticulous, and autonomous.
  6. Computer literacy, well-developed time management, organization, and priority-setting skills.
  7. Ability to travel using a company car.
