A leading hotel in Ballito is seeking a Sous Chef to assist in all food production areas, ensuring high standards of quality and sanitation. This role involves menu development, supervision of kitchen operations, and maintaining excellent customer service. Ideal candidates will have a Culinary Arts Diploma and experience in a 4/5-star environment.
The Sous Chef is responsible for assisting the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef with all food production in the restaurant, conferences and banqueting, room service, and other food outlets. This includes developing and costing menus, orders, and recipe development, while maintaining high standards of food quality and sanitation. The Sous Chef acts as Second-In-Charge when the Executive Sous Chef is absent, taking charge of the kitchen operations. The role primarily involves supervision, food production, and administration.
