Used Car Sales Manager
Our well-known automotive dealer client based in Centurion is currently seeking a Used Car Sales Manager.
This is a key management role suitable for an experienced manager capable of attracting clients, providing excellent customer service, motivating staff, controlling costs, and maintaining high sales levels.
Reporting to the Dealer Principal, the Used Sales Manager is fully responsible for managing the Used Vehicle department, including:
- Maximizing sales and profitability through customer satisfaction and retention to meet sales forecasts.
- Developing the sales organization to meet sales and profitability objectives.
- Ensuring optimal stock levels on premises.
- Controlling costs within budget.
- Maintaining adequate stocks of cars and display materials.
- Reviewing pricing policies, discounts, and trade-in deals to sustain profitability.
- Monitoring weekly financial performance of the Sales Department.
- Handling customer complaints promptly and effectively.
- Ensuring vehicle delivery meets the Vehicle Delivery Quality Index (VDQI).
- Achieving departmental targets.
- Managing costs within prescribed parameters.
- Providing training on new model launches to Sales Executives.
- Establishing staffing levels and training to meet sales goals.
- Monitoring all floorplan activities.
- Maintaining stock levels according to company policy.
- Maximizing sales of back-end products.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Grade 12 education.
- At least 3 years in a managerial role within the motor vehicle industry.
- Sales tertiary qualification is advantageous.
- Clear criminal record.
- Valid Driver's License.
