Job description

The role of the Absorption: Workplace and Recruitment Supervisor is to implement activities related to learner selection and workplace management, aiming for high learner retention and increased absorption rates by host entities.

Ensure adherence to policies, practices, processes, and procedures concerning learner recruitment and workplace management.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum requirement: Diploma/Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent
  • Certificate in Wellness or Social Work (advantageous)
  • Extensive knowledge of SETA's/training legislation
  • Project Management Certificate (advantageous)
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Driver's license and own/reliable transport
  • Management/Supervisory experience (advantageous)
  • At least 3 years recruiting experience
  • At least 1 year in a learnership environment
  • Minimum 3 years' workplace placement experience (advantageous)
  • Experience in Sales/Client Liaison (advantageous)
Responsibilities
  1. Maintain accurate learner and host databases
  2. Attract and recruit learners for the Learnership Programmes
  3. Ensure compliance with LMS and document management systems
  4. Oversee candidate documentation and background checks
  5. Coordinate learner onboarding and orientation
  6. Manage interview processes and documentation
  7. Ensure timely recruitment and reporting
  8. Source and place learners in suitable workplaces
  9. Coordinate learner readiness programs and monitor workplace placements
  10. Assist learners with challenges and ensure their well-being
  11. Build and maintain stakeholder relationships
  12. Report on recruitment and placement activities
