Housekeeping Supervisor – Hospitality (Knysna)
Our client, a leading local Tourism and Hospitality group (5 Star) with views over the Knysna Lagoon, striving for extraordinary standards, is seeking an experienced, professional housekeeping supervisor.

The Role:
As an experienced professional Housekeeping Supervisor it is essential for creating memorable guest experiences, as first impressions often depend on the cleanliness and tidiness of the environment.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
• Previous experience (4 – 5 years) in a similar role at a 5* Hospitality Group
• Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans (verbal and written)
• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the lodge;
• Ensure a high level of communication is maintained with guests as well as team members
• Maintain impeccable cleanliness and presentation standards across the property
• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure they are well-oriented with their accommodation and surroundings;
• International tourism standards and service excellence need to be maintained at all times
• Allocation of duties to staff on a daily basis
• Supervise, train and assist staff with daily duties
• Computer literate in Semper or similar system
• Implement planned and emergency maintenance schedules;
• Experience in stock management, purchasing, placing orders
• Quality control of completed works;
• Ensure health and safety standards are kept
• Able to assist as Receptionist as and when required
• Have own reliable transport and valid driver’s licence

More information will be discussed at interview level.

Please note, local residents would be preferred (or currently in the progress of relocating to the Knysna area) as this is an immediate start.

We are looking for candidates who have their own accommodation in Knysna / surrounds, who are prepared to work hospitality hours (weekends, public holiday and shifts), and who are fit and able to carry out the normal responsibilities attached to this role as well as assist elsewhere as and when required.
