Job description

Thavha Services requires a qualified Site Manager to join our dynamic team on a project in a mine in Limpopo. The candidate will be responsible for the management all site aspects of the Site activities, including production, safety, quality, maintenance and personnel management to ensure the site runs efficiently.

REQUIREMENTS

• Qualified BTech/ BSC/ BEng Mechanical Engineering with minimum 8 years’ experience post graduate experience
• Alternatively, a Red Seal Boilermaker with minimum 15 years’ experience which at least
• 5 years should be in a management position
• Proficient in Microsoft office (Especially Excel)
• Valid Driver’s License
• A1 & A2 Training
• Legal Liability Certificate
• First Aid Certificate
• Basic Fire Fighting Certificate
• No Criminal Record
• Good Health

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Profitability - The setting out of a pre-plan (Objectives / profit & Loss / Costing Schedule). Submit overall budget and programmes
• Planning and Resourcing - Prepare programmes for contract, plan and requisition oflabour, material and equipment
• Cost Control – Prepare / Supervise and compile monthly cost reports, monthly plan and labour forecasts
• Production – Monitor daily/ weekly production programmes and ensure production targets are met.
• Quality Control – Ensure knowledge of specific contract specification. Ensure staff archieve quality requirements.
• Safety – Accept responsibility in terms of HSE and manage the HSE function on the contract
• Liaison – Develop good client and employee relations
