Their focus is on small to medium sized businesses and high net worth individuals.About the role:This is an exciting opportunity for a Chartered Accountant to work directly with one of the firm’s experienced and senior partners to grow and further enhance the success of the business.Responsibilities include:- Business Consulting: Provide strategic advice on mergers, acquisitions, financial restructuring, and other critical business matters.
- Management Accounting: Analyse costs, budgets, and performance data to support strategic decision-making.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements that present a true and fair view of a company's financial health, ensuring adherence to accounting standards.
- Auditing: Analyse financial statements meticulously to ensure accuracy, compliance with regulations, and the absence of fraud or misrepresentation.
- Taxation: Calculate and filing of tax returns for businesses, trusts and individuals, advising on complex tax laws, and strategizing for optimal tax efficiency.
- Team Management: Lead a team of 15 employees in collaboration with a practice manager and business partner.
Role Requirements:- CA(SA) and RA (preferred); registered tax practitioner (good standing).
- 5-10 years post qualifying experience.
- Experience in small or medium sized practice (preferred, not essential).
- Up to date comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of tax.
- Knowledge of:
- IFRS and specifically IFRS for SMEs.
- Auditing standards and requirements.
- Ethical and professional code of conduct requirements.
- Valuations and financial analysis.
- Company and trust law.
- Giving advice to clients on estate planning.
