Role Description
The successful candidate will be involved in making the right decisions regarding stock replenishment for parts sourced locally or internationally from Kassel and other foreign suppliers.
To ensure that the company Group Parts has the required inventory levels to satisfy customer requirements for Parts and Accessories, within the defined financial budgets.
Qualification
- Degree / National Diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain Management or related discipline
Experience
- At least 3 years' experience in warehousing or material handling
Essentials
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices
- Basic manufacturing processes and lead time principles
- Experience in SAP / Logistics / Purchasing systems
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Automotive experience
- Knowledge of IDIS and EPIS
Possible Tasks within this Role
- Analyzing stock replenishment and forecast reports to determine optimal stock levels for targeted availability and confirming firm orders for local suppliers.
- Daily analysis of airfreight and sea freight order proposals and placements.
- Daily analysis, reporting, and corrective actions on dealer backorder parts.
- Fulfilling backorders within the required lead-times and following up on overdue deliveries with suppliers.
- Analyzing the Potential Stock-out Report to proactively prevent backorders.
- Monitoring stock levels to meet stock turn and months cover targets.
- Running reports to highlight problem areas for management evaluation.
- Managing and controlling excess and obsolete stock.
- Managing parts that have been superseded to ensure updated orders for stock receipts and dealer sales.
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure delivery schedules are met and resolving parts quality issues.
- Coordinating with Group Parts Distribution Centres regarding delivery schedules, priorities, and stock queries.
- Assisting Parts Support Helpdesk with dealer queries about parts availability and resolution.
- Updating invoice and vessel information in SAP ET for timely customs clearance of Kassel shipments.
- Managing and deleting old Purchase Orders to ensure accuracy in stock replenishment.
