Job description

A permanent vacancy exists for a Head – QMS based at the Service’s HQ (Paterson Grade D3).

Purpose Of The Job
  • Leads and manages the QMS framework, aligned with national and international regulations and guidelines.
  • Represents WCBS on regulatory matters.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provides leadership and expertise to national authorities when required.
  • Maintains accreditation with external authorities and/or systems.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the efficient management and operational control of the QMS department and function.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors the QMS Department’s strategic plan and objectives in line with the overall Service strategy.
  • Communicates and exemplifies the Service’s core values to increase staff morale, promote teamwork, and improve workplace attitudes.
  • Oversees resource allocation to achieve all objectives.
  • Manages departmental budget to contain operational costs.
  • Develops and maintains good relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implements the Service’s training, professional development, health, safety, and quality programmes.
