The Quality Manager for the SSA region will be responsible for ensuring that all products and services meet consistent standards of quality.
This role involves developing and implementing quality control systems, conducting audits, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and service quality across the region.
The Quality Manager SSA will work closely with Management to maintain and improve quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with Management to integrate safety and quality processes.
- Lead and mentor the quality team, providing guidance and support.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure quality standards are met throughout the production process.
Quality Control
- Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures.
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
- Identify and address any quality issues or defects in a timely manner.
- Maintain detailed records of quality reports, statistical reviews, and relevant documentation.
Continuous Improvement
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and service quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve quality standards.
- Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics and trends.
Communication and Brand
- Support brand recognition within the organization.
- Ensure safe work practices as per the OHS Act.
- Advise new staff members of hazards and work-related risks.
- Establish good relationship management with distributors, customers, and employees.
Compliance and Regulatory Affairs
- Ensure compliance with localized processes and standards relevant to Dräger's certifications (e.g., ISO, SANS, IEC).
- Address gaps or non-conformities identified during audits by collaborating with management to drive corrective actions.
- Streamline processes for efficiency within your area of responsibility.
- Support product registrations and other regulatory tasks in the region.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management, preferably in Sales and Service.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
- SACPCMPC certification in quality management (e.g., ISO and ISO) is required.
