Purpose of Position :

To process specimens according to set criteria and standards in the Immunology Laboratory and to assist with monitoring workflow requirements to ensure timely delivery of results.

Requirements :

• BSc Honours Graduate (Required)
• Grade 12 (Required)
• HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field (Required)

Required Experience :

• Experience in pathology laboratory environment
• Knowledge of accreditation processes / procedures
• GCP / GLP requirements
• HPCSA regulations
• Instrumentation and methodologies
• Materials management
• Meditech system
• Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA)
• Relevant pathology test procedures

Key Responsibilities :

• Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath
• Uphold quality control standards within the laboratory
• Perform allocated bench work for effective and timely results
• Manage stock monitoring and ordering
• Conduct ongoing research to stay updated on technology and products
