Who are we? Sanlam Developing Markets (SDM), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sanlam Life Limited, is a leading financial services provider in South Africa's entry-level and emerging middle market.

SDM aims to understand the unique requirements of its clients and offers a wide range of simple and affordable financial solutions, including funeral insurance, education savings, life cover, and personal accident plans.

According to the Sanlam Group Governance Policy, SDM is managed by the SA Retail Mass cluster, part of the Sanlam Life and Savings cluster within the Sanlam Group.

The cluster focuses on retail products and group schemes.

What will you do?

1. Drive insurance and lending business growth, achieve sales targets, and implement targeted marketing initiatives.
2. Manage operational activities within the branch through a team of Branch Consultants.
3. Grow the customer base and revenue by executing the retail branch strategy.
4. Guide and standardize activities, goals, and objectives of sales and servicing consultants in line with the strategy.
5. Lead a service delivery culture to enhance client experience.
6. Oversee the daily operations of the retail branch.
7. Represent the retail branch within the industry.

Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Passed the FAIS RE5
• Wealth Management credits or a tertiary qualification recognized by the FSCA
• Class of Business compliance per product category (annual)
• CPD compliance
• Meet fit and proper requirements

Knowledge and Experience:

• Insurance and financial sector industry knowledge
• Long-term and lending product knowledge
• Regulatory frameworks including FSCA, Prudential Authority, FAIS, POPIA, AML, KYC
• Understanding of underwriting, stakeholder engagement, customer service, and relevant policies
• Experience in sales, service delivery, and people management in the financial sector
