As a Payroll Analyst, you'll support the delivery of and manage the financial aspects of employee compensation, maintain accurate records for remuneration, benefits, taxes, and financial reporting of cost to the company. Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and providing support to employees regarding payroll matters will help us excel at paying our employees timely and accurately, keeping us ahead of the game.

What you'll be doing

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Reconciliations: Reconcile all payroll accounts, ensure all payroll transactions are accurately recorded and posted on the General Ledger. Reconcile RSU accounts, ensuring all transactions are accounted for and required taxes remitted to relevant tax authorities. Prepare headcount reconciliation for month-end posting, ensuring accurate allocation of headcount to various Brand, Region, and Product Cost Centres. Implement and maintain accurate brand, region, and product calculations and allocation of costs to ensure accurate billing to clients. Review payroll-related accruals prior to posting in Navision / Business Central.
  2. Audit: Review and ensure all Payroll Control accounts are complete and accurate for audit purposes. Ensure Intercompany recharges are prepared and posted correctly. Generate payroll-related financial reports, analyze payroll data, and provide insights into employment costs per client. Prepare Shared Services Schedules for Costing Splits as per Finance requirements. Identify trends and patterns in payroll data to proactively identify areas for process improvement, cost savings, or compliance enhancements.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with the finance and accounting team on payroll data integration into ERP. Engage with the reporting team on GL Account requirements for Cost of Employment. Work closely with the Finance Director and Senior Finance Managers to ensure accurate billing. Collaborate with HRIS on Workday Costing dimensions and the Work Time allocation process.
  4. Regulatory & Tax Compliance: Ensure all statutory payroll processes are up to date according to relevant tax authorities and foreign revenue services. Collect, analyze, and validate payroll data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulations. Stay updated with payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements to ensure data accuracy and legal adherence.
  5. System Maintenance: Maintain and integrate data between Workday (HR) and Payspace Payroll systems to ensure accurate cost allocation. Support payroll system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements through data analysis and testing.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Payspace, Workday).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Background in Costing and Allocation.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting/data analysis.
  • Minimum 3-5 years payroll experience in a similar role.

Preferred additional skills include experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central, relevant certifications like CPP, and strong ERP/system knowledge.
