This position partners with managers and associates in South Africa and Egypt to deliver core HR services.
Ensures optimal management of HR processes and associate experience, with a focus on people and culture.
The HR Business Partner is responsible for solving local organizational challenges through people-related solutions that support Alcon's mission : "to help people see brilliantly".
They deliver annual people processes, possess in-depth knowledge of local talent, and provide coaching to managers to help them accelerate talent readiness.
The HRBP brings a deep understanding of local business needs, contributes HR perspectives into business issues, and supports diagnostic interventions to deliver local solutions.
They collaborate regularly with HR COEs and HR Services on the design and execution of solutions and service delivery to clients.
They implement strategic initiatives and other enterprise-wide HR programs to support Alcon associates, including compensation, performance, employee relations, engagement, culture, and talent development initiatives.

In this role, a typical day includes :
Partnering with people leaders :
Aligning with the Talent & Culture Partner to execute enterprise-level initiatives.
Delivering Alcon's core HR services and people processes (e.g., OTR, PMP), ensuring an optimal associate experience.
Driving business success by coaching and advising teams on associate experience initiatives, such as the Associate Experience Dashboard, Recognition programs, etc.
Ensuring timely execution of all people-related processes.
Implementing global, regional, or local HR programs :
Coaching business leaders and associates on HR topics (e.g., change management, talent management, employee relations, career development).
Accountable for developing a diverse local talent bench through selection, equitable compensation practices, and talent development.
Supporting diagnostic interventions and problem resolution strategies, contributing HR insights to business issues.
Utilizing workforce analytics and insights to enhance people and workforce management.
Knowledge and Skills :
Business Insights - understanding business drivers and aligning human capital strategy.
Persuasion - coaching and influencing leaders using data and trends to drive decision-making.
Decision Quality - leveraging data for informed decisions, considering all relevant factors.
Collaboration - supporting a team environment and role modeling Alcon values & behaviors.
Planning and Alignment - managing multiple projects, setting objectives aligned with organizational goals.
Effective Communication - excellent written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree or equivalent with related experience.
Work Experience : 5-7 years in Human Resources, Business, or related fields, with prior HR Business Partner experience.
Fluency in English; experience working in other countries is a plus.
