We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Financial Manager to join our growing team in the Sports Betting industry.

This is a key role in our finance department, where you will oversee financial operations, ensure strict adherence to South African gambling regulations, and optimise profitability in a competitive and rapidly evolving sector.

Purpose of the Role

The Financial Manager will take charge of all financial operations, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation while maximising profitability. You will also manage financial risks and be instrumental in steering the company towards sustainable growth through effective financial strategies and risk mitigation techniques.

Key Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CA(SA) or equivalent preferred).
• Extensive experience in financial management, especially within the Sports Betting or gambling industry.
• Strong expertise in South African financial regulations, including FICA, the Gambling Act, and tax compliance.
• Proven experience in risk management, AML regulations, and fraud prevention in the gambling sector.
• Solid track record in financial reporting, managing audits, and ensuring IFRS and local standards compliance.
• Leadership skills in managing and mentoring finance teams.
• Strong analytical skills for providing strategic insights based on financial data.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

6. Cash Flow & Liquidity Management: Manage cash flow to meet operational needs and financial obligations.
7. Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with regulators, auditors, and investors.
8. Operational Efficiency: Oversee controls, procurement, and cost management to improve efficiency.
