Purpose of the Position

To provide quality customer service and to collect non-blood and blood specimens for medical pathology analysis, within the legal-ethical framework of the nursing profession in a phlebotomy environment.

Requirements

Relevant HPCSA / SANC registration

Relevant Phlebotomy or Nursing qualification

Required Experience

Knowledge of Meditech system, MS Excel, MS Word

Knowledge of the National Health Act and Nursing Council Scope of Practice

Phlebotomy experience in a laboratory environment

Key Responsibilities

Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath

Manage cash flow for payment collection of phlebotomy services

Perform administrative tasks for accurate recording and processing of information

Perform nursing procedures to ensure delivery of nursing services

Ensure safety and quality control standards are upheld
