About Our Client

Our client is a privately-owned global pharmaceutical leader with operations in over 130 countries. Renowned for its commitment to patient-focused innovation, the company specializes in therapeutic areas such as cardiometabolic health, oncology, respiratory diseases, and pain management.

This newly created Medical Advisor position is ideal for a medical doctor eager to take initiative in a growing, fast-moving environment. You’ll lead scientific strategy across South Africa, act as a key medical voice in cross-functional planning, and support upcoming product launches—particularly in cardiovascular medicine.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and localize regional medical strategies and educational initiatives.
• Engage with KOLs and professional associations; build meaningful scientific partnerships.
• Provide compliant, high-quality medical and scientific information to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support PV, clinical trials, and advisory board activities.
• Collaborate closely with regional and global teams based in Dubai and other MEA markets.
• Play a central role in product launch preparation and execution.

Requirements

• M.D. qualification is essential.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Medical Affairs or relevant pharmaceutical roles (e.g., MSL, Medical Advisor, Medical manager etc).
• Experience in cardiovascular medicine is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset – capable of building structure and processes in a growing setup.
• Must be based in, or willing to relocate to, Cape Town (relocation support available).
