eCommerce / Digital Marketing Manager (Shopify) – Cape Town.
An international mail order business is looking for a proactive and skilled eCommerce & Digital Marketing Manager (Shopify) to join their dynamic team.
Operating in the eCommerce and direct-to-consumer space, the company manages multiple lifestyle and luxury brands across international markets.
This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of the brand’s digital presence — from Shopify website management and optimisation to SEO, conversion strategies, and Klaviyo-driven email marketing.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, data-driven, and eager to contribute to the ongoing success of a fast-growing, globally focused team
Salary: R30 000 – R40 000 CTC per month.
Location: Green Point / Cape Town.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in an eCommerce or digital marketing role
- Proven expertise in managing and optimising Shopify websites
- Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, including SEO (technical, on-page, and content optimisation) and conversion rate optimisation (CRO)
- Proficiency in Klaviyo for email/SMS marketing, segmentation, and A/B testing
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking
- Familiarity with Google Business Profile and local SEO practices
- Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics and reporting tools such as Looker or Google Data Studio
- Knowledge of eCommerce app ecosystems and platform integrations
- Solid project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple digital initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork
- Advantageous: knowledge of A/B testing platforms, schema markup, or basic HTML/CSS
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of Shopify store performance, including product listings, content updates, and app integrations
- Plan and execute a full-funnel digital marketing strategy, incorporating SEO, CRO, and performance analytics
- Lead and manage email and SMS campaigns via Klaviyo, including flow setup, segmentation, testing, and reporting
- Research and implement strategies to increase conversion rates and optimise user journeys
- Monitor and analyse digital performance using Looker dashboards, Google Analytics, and other relevant tools
- Manage site-wide content, promotions, and updates to reflect marketing campaigns
- Set up and maintain conversion tracking using Google Tag Manager
- Oversee and improve local SEO efforts and updates to Google Business Profiles
- Act as the primary point of contact for all eCommerce and digital marketing queries
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align website, product, and marketing initiatives
- Stay current with evolving eCommerce trends, tools, and best practices to ensure digital performance remains competitive
