Duties & Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to drive key team deliverables in line with the expectations of accuracy and completeness by managing a team of 2 and embedding both technical expertise and daily support.

The role will include reviews of deliverables, daily guidance, and support of team members to achieve the function's mandate in line with the strategy defined by the Head of Department.

Areas of responsibility may include but are not limited to:

  1. Understanding all key deliverables required across the Risk and Audit portfolio in line with the defined strategy, risk protocols, audit standards, DLP rules, and GRM deadlines.
  2. Maintaining, monitoring, and tracking key deliverables to meet deadlines as set by the Head of Department.
  3. Reviewing all key deliverables prior to the Head of Department's review and sign-off, ensuring compliance with the function's mandate.
  4. Highlighting and raising red flags to the Head of Department regarding risks within Health, in accordance with risk appetite.
  5. Coaching, mentoring, and supporting the team with daily activities, guidance, email reviews, solutions, and technical insights to ensure accurate deliverables.
  6. Attending meetings with the team to align discussions with relevant risk methodology, DLP rules, and audit protocols.
  7. Assisting the Head of Department with ad-hoc tasks to support the function.
  8. Building and maintaining positive relationships with Health stakeholders by delivering excellent work.
  9. Performing key analytics to identify focus areas for risk and audit deep dives within Health.
  10. Addressing escalations by applying logic and discernment, presenting a plan of action to the Head of Department for review and implementation.
