REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor of Education (Intermediate Senior Phase)

1–2 years in a formal teaching environment

Fluent in Afrikaans and English (Afrikaans teaching fluency essential)

MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

DUTIES

Set age-appropriate, subject-related goals and expectations for learners.

Deliver dynamic and engaging Afrikaans lessons aligned with the CAPS curriculum.

Provide regular feedback and academic support to learners.

Manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.

Participate in intervention strategies and learner development plans.

Maintain a safe, inviting and organised classroom.

Promote learner responsibility and pride in their work.

Foster mutual respect and a culture of curiosity.

Develop and submit weekly planning via Microsoft Teams.

Maintain accurate records : attendance, assessments, and parent communications.

Take responsibility for classroom resources and equipment.

Actively engage in personal and professional growth.

Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school committees and activities.

Uphold school values and act as a role model.

Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians.

Participate in and help organise school events and parent-teacher meetings.

Engage with the school community and extracurricular initiatives.
