Job description

A leader in innovative solutions for Standby Power, Power Efficiency, and Renewable Energy is seeking dynamic Sales Executives to join their growing teams in Johannesburg and Cape Town. The company’s mission is to help businesses optimize energy use, enhance sustainability, and reduce environmental impact through advanced technologies and customized solutions. Specializing in reliable, efficient power systems, they provide uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, generators, solar energy solutions, and other comprehensive energy management services.

The Sales Executives will focus on driving new sales and expanding market share by targeting commercial customers with bespoke energy solutions. Ideal candidates will be responsible for identifying opportunities, building strong client relationships, and delivering tailored power solutions that align with clients' energy efficiency and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Development:
  • Identify and target new commercial clients in various sectors, focusing on industries that benefit from standby power, energy efficiency, and renewable energy solutions. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at prospective and existing clients. Provide exceptional customer service to ensure satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnerships.
  • Solution Selling:
  • Understand client needs and propose appropriate products and services, including UPS systems, generators, solar solutions, and energy efficiency technologies. Tailor solutions to match the specific requirements of each client.
  • Sales Presentations:
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to clients, showcasing the value of our offerings and demonstrating how our solutions can help improve operational efficiency and sustainability.
  • Market Research & Intelligence:
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and new market opportunities. Use this information to inform sales strategies and drive growth in targeted sectors.
  • Sales Reporting & Forecasting:
  • Provide regular updates on sales activities, prospects, and forecasts. Maintain accurate records of sales interactions and client details in the CRM system.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with internal teams such as technical, operations, and customer service to ensure seamless execution of projects and services for clients. Act as a liaison between clients and our technical experts to ensure that customer needs are fully understood and met.
  • Customer Education:
  • Act as a subject matter expert on energy efficiency, standby power solutions, and renewable energy trends. Educate clients on how our solutions can improve their energy consumption and environmental impact.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma / Degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field would be an advantage but not essential.
  • 5 years’ experience in commercial sales, ideally within the power, energy, or technology sectors.
  • Experience selling technical or complex solutions to commercial clients.
  • Strong understanding of power systems, energy management, renewable energy solutions, and sustainability trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with decision-makers at all levels within organizations.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet sales targets.
  • Proficient in using CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
