Job Description: Strategic Sales Manager at IDEMIA

Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa

Purpose of the Role

This role focuses on generating new business for IDEMIA through customer acquisition and product launches.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop a deep understanding of the ecosystem within the scope of the role.
  2. Define and execute go-to-market strategies.
  3. Build a pipeline of opportunities by monitoring legislation, budgets, and tenders.
  4. Utilize networks, LinkedIn, and events for prospecting.
  5. Observe and learn from existing account sales managers.
  6. Establish channel partnerships.
  7. Conduct commercial pitches and analyze competition to inform pricing strategies.
  8. Support deal feasibility with internal teams and validate offers.
  9. Handle tailored offer submissions and negotiations.
  10. Close deals and coordinate implementation, transferring customer relationships to account management.
  11. Drive small to mid-size deals autonomously, with shadowing for larger deals.
  12. Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals.
  13. Engage with customer decision-makers for smaller deals and support larger deal negotiations.
