Reporting to the IT Executive: Enterprise Architecture and working within a SAFe Agile environment, the role will be responsible for designing robust and detailed solution architectures and patterns that align with business objectives.
The role will focus on developing and implementing architectural designs and patterns, ensuring they meet organizational needs, and bridging the gap between business requirements and technical execution.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology, or a related field, or equivalent proven experience.
- Certifications such as TOGAF or similar architectural frameworks; SAFe Architect, Archimate, BPMN 2.0 or equivalent are highly desirable.
Experience:
- 7-8 years of proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role in an enterprise environment.
- Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment.
- Experience as a developer in a complex environment.
- Proven experience on Google and Azure Cloud platforms.
- Industry experience is an added advantage.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, application development, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Previous working knowledge of architectural repository tools such as Orbus Software iServer, Sparx EA, etc.
- Excellent understanding of separation of concerns and reuse methodology.
- Ability to synthesize problems and exercise good judgment in decision-making.

Solution Design and Implementation:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of business needs and strategic objectives.
- Design end-to-end IT solution architectures that address business requirements and align with enterprise standards.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, sustainable, and integrate seamlessly with existing systems.
- Oversee the implementation of IT solution architectures, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Maintain an up-to-date library of current architecture states.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with stakeholders, agile teams, and development teams to understand requirements and provide guidance.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration for cohesive solution delivery.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship, supported by Technical and Security Architects.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Advocate for technology adoption to enhance productivity and innovation.
Strategic Planning and Governance:
- Contribute to the enterprise architecture roadmap.
- Ensure solutions adhere to architectural principles and governance frameworks.
- Participate in architecture reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in retrospectives to identify process improvements.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Support the evolution of the SAFe Agile framework within the organization.
