Introduction

We are looking to recruit a permanent Warehouse Supervisor: Inventory to work for United Pharmaceutical Distributors (UPD).

The role will be based at the UPD Lea Glen branch and will report to the Inventory Manager.

Job Purpose: Responsible for the effective and accurate management and control of inventory within the warehouse ensuring good Wholesale & Distribution Practice is applied.

Job Objectives:

  1. Adherence to compliance, SOP's and company policies (SHEQ, QA)
  2. Productivity management - Capacity management, order processing cycle time, manning utilization, unplanned downtime
  3. Equipment up-time and maintenance - Asset inspections and reports are performed as required
  4. Reporting on daily performance and Order status
  5. Daily / Weekly / Monthly management reports
  6. Attainment of daily operational targets
  7. Order processing within required turnaround times (Transfers and sales orders)
  8. Conduct and supervise cycle counting and bin check process
  9. Return stock to vendor / claims generated by operations
  10. Inventory and Receiving departments for both Wholesale and Distribution
  11. Management of quality and output levels
  12. Performance management of staff, staff training and discipline
  13. Set targets and deadlines for direct reports
  14. Assistance of stock counts within PDC Wholesale and Distribution
  15. Control and resolution of order disputes / claims internally and externally
  16. Manage staff compliment for overtime when required

Experience and Education:

  1. Relevant Tertiary Qualifications (Advantageous)
  2. 3 - 5 years experience in a Pharmaceutical / Distribution & Wholesale / FMCG / Supply Chain & Logistic environment (Essential)
  3. 2 Years experience in dealing with supplier returns, with keen understanding of supplier policies
  4. 1-2 years supervisory / people management experience
  5. SAP and KNAPP experience will be advantageous

Job related knowledge and skills:

  1. WMS / ERP systems knowledge
  2. Computer skills on MS Office (Word and Excel)
  3. Product knowledge
  4. Financial understanding - budget
  5. Communicate effectively at all levels
  6. Strong planning and coordinating skills
  7. Ability to work in a team
  8. Ability to work under pressure / time deadlines
  9. Honesty and integrity
  10. Ability to work on excel reports and drive efficiencies
