We have an exciting opportunity for experienced retail Store Managers to supervise a Sunglass Hut retail store in Gateway, La Lucia, Pavillion and Watercrest Mall.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales
- Manage the sales plan for the store
- Set individual targets for the Sales Associates
- Actively monitor and drive sales daily
People Management
- Manage work schedules to optimise staffing according to peak trading times
- Coach, mentor and motivate staff to deliver the best results
- Ensure appropriate performance management is implemented to achieve KPI’s
- Assist with the recruitment, training and development of high-quality Sales Associates
- Facilitate on-the-job staff training in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Ensure accurate completion of all daily, weekly and monthly store administration tasks
- Actively build customer relationships and provide an excellent customer experience
- Respond to all customer queries and escalations in an effective, professional and timely manner
Stock Control
- Maintain inventory control and secure all merchandise
- Plan, implement and monitor stock takes
- Manage shrinkage levels to within the targeted ratio
Store Operations
- Visual Merchandising as per company guidelines
- Campaign set up and execution
- Supervise the financial operations of the store, including the completion of control sheets, banking and daily cash reconciliation checks
- Perform audits and checks to ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to
Qualifications and experience:
- Grade 12
- Previous retail experience with a strong preference for fashion and/or luxury retail experience
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Minimum of 2+years’ people management experience
