Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Delivery Lead to inspire and mentor a high-performing team across South Africa and our global offices. This role involves leading a team of Delivery Leads, driving impactful initiatives in the interactive technology space.

Leveraging your Agile expertise, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Finance—to ensure seamless delivery. Your responsibilities include establishing robust delivery controls, meticulous planning, continuous process improvement, and fostering a culture of transparency, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.

You will own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, from setting strategic direction and removing impediments to driving epics and user stories through discovery, delivery, and iteration.

You will facilitate agile ceremonies, communicate progress to stakeholders at all levels, and collaborate with Product Managers and other Delivery Leads to ensure successful outcomes. Mentoring and coaching your direct reports to foster their growth within our dynamic environment is also key.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Foster a positive team environment, manage performance, set objectives, and drive continuous improvement. Lead by example with a solution-oriented approach.
• Roadmap Ownership: Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to define and maintain a product roadmap, balancing commercial viability, customer satisfaction, and technical feasibility. Drive initiatives from inception to readiness.
• Roadmap Delivery: Manage multiple initiatives using appropriate methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.), track progress, manage dependencies, remove impediments, and ensure timely releases. Maintain documentation aligned with strategic goals.
• Communication: Maintain consistent stakeholder communication regarding progress, changes, and expectations using standardized templates. Proactive communication is essential.
• Program Delivery: Support program initiatives by contributing to discovery, providing executive-level plans, ensuring smooth implementation and transition, and working with program managers to communicate risks and changes.
• Ways of Working: Facilitate Agile ceremonies, implement best practices, lead by example in transparency, reliability, predictability, and agility. Promote continuous process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software development or technical project management, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven success in delivering complex technical projects in high-performance environments.
• Strong experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of software architecture, system design, and integration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate teams and influence stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Good business acumen and understanding of how technical solutions impact organizational goals.
