Job Location : Gauteng, Soweto

Job Responsibilities:

1. Ensure compliance to General Merchandise standards, regulations and set plans to achieve targets / deadlines.
2. Ensure that hygiene, housekeeping and safe working standards are maintained (Floor and back-up).
3. Ensure that security procedures are adhered to.
4. Ensure that merchandise / display standards are adhered to.
5. Conduct regular quality checks, ensure that stock is rotated. Damaged / expired stock is removed.
6. Prevent wastage / shrinkage / damages.
7. Check correct pricing e.g. labels.
8. Approach and advise customers on the product, listen to customers’ requests, provide the required product or services and handle customers in a courteous and business-like manner.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Grade 10 (Grade 12 Advantageous).
2. 2-3 years retail experience an added advantage.
3. Ability to communicate in English.
4. Must be able to pass given assessments at the required level.
5. Must be successful in competency-based interviews.
6. Must be flexible and willing to be transferred between stores.
7. Must be willing to give authorization for a full credit and criminal check.
8. Must have a valid South African ID (attach copy to application).
9. Being customer-minded by seeing situations through the eyes of the customer and responding positively.
10. Excellent communication skills by listening attentively, responding appropriately and talking in a clear, understandable manner.
11. Display a sense of urgency in constantly striving to complete tasks in the shortest possible time.
12. Perform routine tasks at a constant high standard.
13. Develop self by constantly looking for opportunities to improve / grow self.
14. Able to work shifts to meet operational requirements.
15. Physically demanding.
