TFG Vacancies Cape Town – Head of Content

Job Description:

Lead a team of 20+ digital content strategists & creatives to deliver world-class content that resonates with our customers across a 360° experience. You’ll drive the innovation within the department, recruit and develop a team of high performers and re-define our approach to omni-channel content strategy, production and optimisation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and improvement of departmental content guidelines and creative toolkits.
• Recruit, mentor and lead a team of 20+ creatives, content strategists and producers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX, Brand Marketing, Customer to improve the customers’ experiences across all channels and platforms.
• Build and oversee the content publishing calendar, ensuring it’s on-brand, effective, measured and optimised per channel across mobile, desktop, social, video, email.
• Nurture and elevate our editorial leadership and strengthen our credentials across various sectors, from fashion to lifestyle and more.
• Oversee and improve the departmental operating model comprising dedicated cross-functional teams and asymmetrical content and engagement strategies.

Job Requirements:

• Leadership abilities that inspire learning and excellence among team members
• 7+ years of relevant experience in digital content / editorial content strategy and production.
• 5+ years of experience managing a team
• Demonstrated ability leveraging customer insights, competitive assessments and commercial objectives to develop content solutions.
• Strong project management and strategic process development skills
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Fashion/lifestyle retail industry experience is advantageous
• Self-motivated, curious and collaborative
• Experience creating content for large-scale consumer brands
