Scope of position:

Reporting to the Sous Chef, the Chef de Partie will focus on mastering assigned skills, managing sections, supervising staff, and acting professionally aligned with our Mission, Vision, and Values. The goal is to exceed guest expectations and elevate the culinary team from good to great.

Responsibilities:

Communication and Conduct

  • Attend and conduct daily shift briefings, ensuring clear communication.
  • Lead by example, embodying AccorHotels's Mission, Vision & Values.
  • Maintain professional appearance and hygiene standards.
  • Support and motivate colleagues, fostering a positive work environment.

Health and Safety

  • Promote health and safety practices at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of tools and work areas.
  • Follow food safety protocols and ensure proper hygiene practices.

Stock Management

  • Manage stock requisitions and ensure proper storage and rotation following FIFO.

Training and Development

  • Participate in managerial courses and support colleagues' development.
  • Engage in continuous learning and complete required trainings.

Sustainability and Stock

  • Minimize wastage and record it accurately.
  • Lead by example in handling fresh produce to maximize yield.

Food Quality and Control

  • Maintain and improve food quality and presentation.
  • Ensure food safety and consistency.
  • Perform daily checks and support colleagues to maintain standards.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of ingredients and international cuisine.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Recognition from a culinary school (asset).
  • Food Hygiene and Safety certification.
  • Strong communication and guest service skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and email.
  • Flexible, physically fit, and able to handle high-pressure situations.
