About the Role

A dynamic and fast-growing stockbroking firm is looking for a Sales Trader to join its institutional trading desk.

Responsibilities

1. Manage and execute trades for institutional clients.
2. Build and maintain strong client relationships on the sales side.
3. Work closely with the team (currently two traders) to run and grow the desk.
4. Handle high-pressure market environments with confidence and precision.
5. Provide market insights and recommendations to clients.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in institutional sales trading.
• BCom degree is advantageous.

Required Skills

• Proven ability to engage directly with institutional clients (asset managers, pension funds, etc.).
• JSE experience is essential – familiarity with stockbroking and execution.
• Ability to hit the ground running and take ownership of the role.
• Strong understanding of trading operations and client servicing.
• No formal qualifications required, but experience as a broker in the market is key.
